About the RT-375-1/8-X-65MM Heat-Shrink Sleeve, Glueless, 2:1
This is a pre-cut heat-shrinkable sleeve supplied in the RT-375 designation at size 1/8 in, transparent, in a 65 mm cut length. The sleeve has a 2:1 shrink ratio and a nominal supplied inside diameter of 3.2 mm, so on full recovery it closes to a nominal 1.6 mm. In practical terms it slides over a component or joint up to roughly 3 mm across and grips bodies and conductors down to about half that size. It is a glueless construction: a single-wall tubing with no adhesive liner, so it provides mechanical covering, electrical insulation, strain relief and abrasion protection at the joint, but does not form the environmental seal that an adhesive-lined dual-wall sleeve would give. The transparent finish leaves the covered joint, splice or wire marking visible for inspection after recovery, which is why clear sleeving is often preferred over coloured stock on assemblies that are checked before close-out.

Typical applications
A 65 mm cut length of 3.2 mm sleeving suits small terminations: crimped ring and spade terminals on light-gauge wire, in-line splices on single conductors, and the covering of component leads and small component bodies. The clear finish keeps printed wire markers, splice barrels and solder joints readable once the sleeve has recovered, which is useful on assemblies inspected before they are closed up. Because there is no adhesive liner, this sleeve belongs in dry and sheltered positions rather than on joints that must be sealed against moisture ingress.
