Description
Futaba J-M Connector, In-Line Socket, 3 Pin, Male Crimp — BOLTON SKU 64063.
About the Futaba J-M Connector In-Line Socket
This item is a three-pin in-line socket connector of the Futaba J type, supplied to take male crimp contacts. The futaba j-m conn futaba in-line format is the free-hanging cable-to-cable style rather than a board or panel connector, so it is joined in the middle of a harness run instead of being mounted to a structure. Three positions is the standard servo and small-actuator arrangement — signal, positive supply and ground — and the J-type body is the keyed housing associated with Futaba radio-control and servo wiring. Crimp construction means the contacts are applied to the wires with a hand or bench tool and then inserted into the housing, which allows a harness to be made to length and individual circuits to be replaced later. Contacts, wire range and current rating are confirmed against manufacturer data at quotation.

Typical applications
Three-pin Futaba-pattern connectors are the common interface for servos, small actuators, ESC signal leads and low-power sensors on UAV, RC and light robotic platforms. The in-line socket form is used to make an extension or a break in an existing lead — for instance between a fuselage harness and a wing servo — so that the airframe can be split for transport without unsoldering or re-terminating.
