About the GF-22-200-100 Glass Cloth, 200g 2×2 Twill 1m
GF-22-200-100 woven glass cloth is a glass-fibre reinforcement fabric supplied in a 2×2 twill construction at a nominal areal weight of 200 g/m2 and a roll width of 1000 mm. In a 2×2 twill each warp yarn passes over two and under two fill yarns, producing the diagonal rib that distinguishes the weave from a plain-weave cloth of the same weight; the longer float length means fewer crimp points per unit area, and twill fabrics are generally selected where the reinforcement has to conform around curvature and compound shapes without the yarns bridging. At 200 g/m2 this is a mid-light cloth — heavy enough to build laminate thickness at a sensible ply count, light enough to drape and wet out readily. Resin system, finish or size, and glass type for this reference are confirmed against your specification at quotation.

Typical applications
A 200 g/m2 twill at 1000 mm width is a workshop staple for hand lay-up and wet lay-up composite work: skinning and reinforcing panels, building repair patches and scarf repairs, laminating radomes, fairings, ducting and enclosure shells, and making moulds and tooling plugs. The twill drape makes it the preferred choice over plain weave where the part has curved or double-curvature surfaces. The 1000 mm width suits panel-scale parts and lets narrower repair plies be cut on the bias from a single roll.
