Mechanical & Motion Hydraulic Seals

Hydraulic Seals

Mechanical & Motion

Hydraulic seals are generally relatively soft, non-metallic rings are removed from the trench or attached to a combination of rings, forming seal joints, to prevent or separate the liquid from restoring moving applications. Hydraulic signals are important for machines. Their use is important in providing a way for liquid energy to be converted into linear movement.

Hydraulic seals can be made of various materials such as polyurethane, rubber or PTFE. The type of material is determined by specific operating conditions or limitations due to the type of liquid, pressure, liquid chemical compaction or temperature.

The static hydraulic seal is located in the groove and does not detect movement – it only closes in a closed area, acting like a gasket.

A flexible hydraulic seal called rod seal is characterized by movement in its internal diameter near the shaft or hydraulic cylinder rod. A type of flexible hydraulic seal called a piston seal is produced by movement in its outer diameter near a tube or cylinder of a hydraulic cylinder.

Documentation & RFQ readiness

BOLTON sources and supplies to specification. Documentation availability depends on the product, its manufacturer/supplier source and your stated requirement, and can be confirmed during quotation. To get an accurate quote quickly, include:

  • The exact manufacturer part number (MPN) and quantity required
  • Any drawing, specification or standard that applies, where relevant
  • Required documentation — e.g. certificate of conformity, datasheet, test report, SDS/TDS, calibration certificate or traceability, where applicable
  • Delivery location and required-by date
