Description
ST-LINK V2 — BOLTON SKU 55718.
About the ST-LINK V2
ST-LINK/V2 is STMicroelectronics’ in-circuit debugger and programmer for the STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families. It sits between a host PC, to which it connects over USB, and the target board, to which it connects through the single-wire SWIM interface on STM8 devices or through JTAG and SWD on STM32 devices. In use it lets a developer flash firmware into the microcontroller and then halt, single-step, set breakpoints on and inspect the running program from the host toolchain, which removes the need for a bootloader or a separate programming fixture during development and board bring-up. This listing is for a single probe unit — 1pc st-link v2 — and target cables, adapter boards and enclosures vary by supplier packaging, so confirm exactly what is required with your enquiry.

Typical applications
A probe of this type is used on the electronics bench for firmware development, production or field re-flashing of STM32-based controllers, and fault-finding on embedded boards used in UAV avionics, instrumentation, motor control and test equipment. Because it supports both SWIM and JTAG/SWD it covers legacy STM8 designs and current STM32 designs from one tool, which is useful for repair and sustainment work across a mixed board population.
