The ETX18B LiFePO4 battery from EarthX is a rechargeable four-cell lithium iron phosphate pack with a nominal voltage of 13.2 V, the figure that follows from four LiFePO4 cells in series. Typical applications
A 1.0 kg battery delivering 230 CCA is chosen where mass reduction is the driver and the duty is engine starting with a modest standing load — light aircraft, powersports and small engine installations are the usual case size B fitments. The 6.2 Ah capacity sets the realistic reserve if charging is lost, so essential-load endurance should be calculated rather than assumed from the lead-acid battery being replaced. LiFePO4 packs also require a charging system whose voltage profile suits the chemistry.
