Description
Overview
The LMG2100EVM-078 is a Texas Instruments evaluation module for the LMG2100 half-bridge GaN power stage, which integrates two 100 V, 4.4 mΩ gallium-nitride FETs with an 80 V GaN half-bridge gate driver. The board is a compact, open-loop power stage driven by external single or dual PWM signals, so it can be configured as a buck converter, boost converter or another half-bridge topology to measure efficiency, switching speed and dv/dt before committing a custom layout. Dead time and slew rate are adjustable on board, and an onboard LDO derives the 5 V VCC from a 5.5 V to 10 V bias supply.
