The AVM-MMB-0607-M306-55 vibration damper is a Metrol anti-vibration bobbin mount in the male/male configuration (MMB), with a rubber body 6 mm in diameter and 7 mm high, M3 threaded studs projecting 6 mm from each face, and a rubber hardness of 55 Shore — the grade Metrol lists across its bobbin mount range. Bobbin mounts of this kind are fitted between a vibrating element and its mounting surface: the rubber body carries the load and deflects under it, so that vibration and shock crossing the joint are absorbed in the elastomer instead of being transmitted into the supporting structure and its fixings.
