About the Vac-Gauge 40D 0.25″ NPT
The Vac-Gauge 40D 0.25″ NPT is a compact digital vacuum gauge marketed by Airtech for composite vacuum-bagging work. It mounts through a 1/4-18 NPT male threaded stem — the 0.25 in NPT connection in the designation — which distributor listings note fits Airtech Airlock 450TF and 550TF bases and AQD quick-disconnects. The gauge displays vacuum on an LCD in four selectable units (mbar, mmHg, inHg and kPa) and includes a selectable auto-off function to conserve the battery. A rugged protective jacket shields the instrument from knocks in normal shop handling. It is used to verify the vacuum level under a vacuum bag and to help identify leaks during lay-up, debulking and cure preparation.
