About the Carbon Fiber Tube 3K Roll Wrapped, 100
This carbon fibre tube is produced by the roll-wrapping process, in which layers of 3K carbon fibre prepreg (3,000-filament tow) are wrapped around a mandrel and cured to form a hollow tube. This variant has a 100 mm outer diameter and a 96 mm inner diameter, giving a 2 mm wall thickness over a 500 mm length. Roll-wrapped construction allows fibre layers to be oriented in multiple directions, and the 3K outer weave gives the familiar woven surface finish. Carbon fibre tube offers high stiffness and low weight relative to aluminium or steel sections of comparable size, which is the primary reason it is specified for weight-critical structures. Exact laminate lay-up and mechanical properties vary by producer; request details through the RFQ if your application requires them.

Typical applications
