Description
EP-L160-5 EL160 High-Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin, 5 kg Kit — BOLTON SKU 66537.
About the EP-L160-5 High-Temp Epoxy Laminating Resin, 5 kg
The EP-L160-5 EL160 High-Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin is a 5 kg kit of Easy Composites’ EL160 system, a two-part epoxy developed for hand lay-up of high-temperature composite components and moulds. Easy Composites positions EL160 for service up to 170 degC, with a maximum glass transition temperature of 170 degC measured by TMA when correctly cured, and notes good wet-out of high-performance reinforcements such as carbon and aramid fibre. The published mix ratio is 100 parts resin to 35 parts hardener by weight, and the mixed resin has a density of 1.10 g/ml at 25 degC with a pale yellow colour. As with all elevated-temperature epoxy systems, the stated thermal performance depends on following the manufacturer’s cure and post-cure schedule.
