About the SYFGi40-1618-PH1 Corecell I40 PH1, 3x965x1220mm
Gurit Corecell I is a structural SAN foam core produced for general-purpose sandwich construction. This item is the I40 grade supplied in 3 mm thick sheets of 965 by 1220 mm, covering 1.18 m² per sheet. Its PH1 designation identifies a perforation pattern with bleeder holes on a 50 by 50 mm grid. Spacing the holes at 50 mm gives roughly a quarter of the hole count of a 25 mm pattern over the same area, so less resin is taken up by the holes themselves while air can still bleed out of the skin-to-core interface. That trade favours finished panel weight and resin economy where the laminate schedule and infusion strategy do not call for very close hole spacing. At 3 mm the sheet stays flexible enough to follow gentle contours during lay-up.

Typical applications
The wider 50 by 50 mm bleeder pattern is chosen where resin uptake and finished panel weight matter more than very rapid through-core flow, for instance on larger flat or shallow-curvature panels laid up in one shot. Typical uses include stiffening panels, bulkhead and partition skins, and light structural covers built as thin sandwich laminates. The 1.18 m² sheet format allows panel shapes to be nested and cut with limited offcut waste.
