Reading the code: PP180 is the peel-ply grade, 152 the 1520 mm roll width, and 5PK the five-roll pack. Peel ply is laid as the last layer of a composite lay-up and stripped after cure, leaving a textured, contaminant-free surface ready for bonding or further lamination; the black tracer thread identifies the ply on the part.
