About the Splice, Butt, 26-22 AWG, Crimp, Serrated, Copper
This is an uninsulated butt splice for joining two conductors end-to-end in the 26-22 AWG range by crimping. The barrel is copper for conductivity, tin plated to resist oxidation and preserve a stable low-resistance interface over service life. The bore carries five serrations: when the barrel is compressed, the serration ridges bite into the conductor strands, increasing contact area and mechanical grip so the joint resists pull-out and vibration loosening. Because the splice is supplied uninsulated, the finished joint must be insulated and, where required, environmentally sealed by the installer — typically with heat-shrink sleeving sized over the crimp barrel — and this also allows the crimp to be visually inspected before it is covered. Wire ranges at the small 26-22 AWG end demand a correctly matched crimp tool and die; state your wire specification in the RFQ.

Typical applications
Uninsulated small-gauge butt splices join and repair light signal and control wiring in equipment harnesses, panels and instrumentation, where the installer specifies the covering sleeve to suit the environment. They are common in repair and modification work where a soldered joint is not permitted or practical.
