About the VC200 Quick-Release Vacuum Coupling Set
The VC200 is a quick-release vacuum coupling supplied as a set of two halves, male and female, for connecting vacuum hoses to through-bag connectors, vacuum pumps and other vacuum-process equipment. Connected together the halves form an airtight joint that passes air freely; on disconnection, internal valves in each half close automatically, so neither the bag side nor the pump side leaks while separated — a line under vacuum stays sealed until it is reconnected. Connection is by a spring-loaded outer ring on the female half: pull back, push the halves together and release the ring to lock. The published datasheet for the VC200 states silicone and PTFE seals with a service temperature up to 204°C (400°F), and the coupling is manufactured for composites use including elevated-temperature and autoclave processing.
