The TE Connectivity (AMP) 66109-1 belongs to the Multimate Type III+ contact series and is the fine-wire sibling of the 66105 socket: where 66105 contacts take 24-20 AWG, the 66109 family is dimensioned for 26-24 AWG conductors with a crimp insulation-support range of 0.89-1.40 mm insulation diameter. It is a size 16 brass crimp socket contact, rear-inserted into the cavities of TE’s CPC circular plastic connectors and G-series and M-series rectangular connectors, where a locking lance retains it in the housing. Choosing the contact variant by wire gauge ensures the crimp barrel matches the conductor for a gas-tight, full-strength termination.
