About the D38999/20WD35SN Wall-Mount Receptacle
The D38999/20WD35SN is a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III wall-mount receptacle. The /20 slash sheet defines the wall-mount receptacle style with a four-hole mounting flange for front or rear panel mounting and triple-start threaded coupling. The designation decodes as class W (aluminium shell, olive-drab cadmium plating), shell size D (15), insert arrangement 15-35 giving 37 size 22D contact cavities, socket (S) contacts and normal (N) polarisation. Contacts are gold-plated copper alloy crimp sockets. As a Series III connector it provides EMI grounding and environmental sealing, with distributor-listed figures of 5000 megohm minimum insulation resistance at 500 V DC and an operating range of -65 °C to +175 °C.
