About the NE8FDX-P6-B Neutrik etherCON CAT6A, D-Shape
The NE8FDX-P6-B etherCON CAT6A connector is a shielded feedthrough chassis connector in the Neutrik D-shape format, with a black finished zinc alloy body and a straight orientation. It presents a female etherCON interface on the front and a feedthrough RJ45 connection behind, and mounts through a standard D-shape cut-out with a two-hole flange and screws. The connector is CAT6A component compliant to TIA/EIA 568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801, supporting 10 Gbit/s transmission, and is rated for Power over Ethernet Type 4 Class 8 at up to 100 W to IEEE 802.3bt. Its eight contacts are gold plated and the shielded construction provides noise immunity and EMI protection for the link. The rugged latch lock system retains the mating cable connector under load and vibration, and the interface is intermateable with the existing etherCON CAT5 range. Note that it does not intermate with the NE8MC6-MO cable connector or NKE6S cables.

Typical applications
A locking, shielded, panel-mounted Ethernet interface of this kind is used where a standard RJ45 would work loose or be damaged — equipment racks, portable control cases, vehicle and shelter panels, and outside broadcast or staging infrastructure. The 100 W PoE rating allows a single cable to feed cameras, access points or sensors as well as carrying data, and the CAT6A rating supports 10 Gbit/s links over structured cabling within the supported channel length.
