About the EA PLUGL128-6GTC OLED Module, 128×64 Touch
The EA PLUGL128-6GTC OLED display module from Display Visions is a 2.9 in (73.66 mm) graphic panel with a 128 x 64 pixel yellow passive-matrix OLED and a capacitive touch overlay on the front. It is an intelligent module rather than a bare glass: the on-board controller presents I²C, SPI, RS-232 and USB interfaces, so it can be driven from a microcontroller or straight from a PC without a display driver of the integrator’s own. The module measures approximately 82 x 67 x 15 mm on a 26-pin connection and runs from a 3.1 to 5.25 V DC supply. Being OLED, it emits its own light, needs no backlight, and holds a viewing angle of about 170°, with a specified operating range of −40 °C to +80 °C and response times in the microsecond region even at the cold end. Additional digital and analogue I/O lines are brought out on the same module.

Typical applications
A 128 x 64 touch OLED of this size is used as a local operator panel on instruments, test rigs and control boxes, where a few menu pages and soft keys replace a membrane keypad. The wide −40 °C to +80 °C range and the absence of a backlight suit unheated cabinets, outdoor enclosures and vehicle-mounted equipment. USB and RS-232 support also make it convenient as a status display bolted onto an existing PC-based system.
