What separates the Ty-Rap pattern from a plain nylon tie is the stainless steel barb set into the head, which bites into the strap rather than relying on a moulded nylon pawl. The TY523M is a light 18 lb tensile class tie in natural nylon, the size normally used for bundling small wire looms and harness branches.
