About the Weller ESD Mat Blue 900
The T0051403499 ESD bench mat is a Weller two-layer static-control work surface measuring 900 x 600 mm with an overall thickness of 2 mm. A dissipative, lightly textured and anti-reflective upper layer sits over a conductive lower layer, giving a typical bleeder resistance in the 10⁶ to 10⁸ ohm range so that accumulated charge is drained in a controlled way rather than through a hard path to ground. The mat is heat- and solder-resistant, so it tolerates incidental contact with soldering irons and hot components, and it resists the chemicals and oils normally present on an electronics bench. It remains permanently elastic and abrasion-resistant in service, the corners are rounded, and two 10 mm press studs are fitted for wrist-strap and earth-bonding leads.
