About the PTFE Adhesive Tape Brown 0.13 mm
This is a self-adhesive PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tape supplied in brown, with a total thickness of 0.13 mm and a width of 1000 mm. One roll runs 50 metres. The wide-format sizing is the defining characteristic of this variant: at a metre across, the tape is bought to sheet a working surface in a single pass rather than to be laid in overlapping narrow strips, and it is normally cut down on site to the width a given job needs. The 0.13 mm build is a thin section, so the tape follows the contour of the surface it is applied to instead of standing proud of it. PTFE gives the exposed face a low-friction, non-stick character, which is the reason the material is chosen over conventional backings for release and lining duties.

Typical applications
A 1000 mm width is bought to line or face a large flat area in one piece — bed plates, table tops, chutes, guide rails and jig faces where material must slide or release cleanly instead of sticking. Because the tape is only 0.13 mm thick, it can be applied to a surface that has to stay dimensionally close to nominal, and it can be replaced as a wear face without reworking the substrate underneath. Cut narrower from the master roll, this PTFE adhesive tape brown color stock is also used to face sealing bars and press platens.
