About the Loctite 601 Thread Locker, 50 ml Bottle
This item is the 50 ml bottle of Loctite 601 threadlocker, which Henkel classifies in its range as a high-strength, low-viscosity retaining compound for bonding cylindrical fitting parts. It is a green, anaerobic-curing methacrylate liquid: it stays fluid in contact with air and cures only when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, which is what allows it to fill and lock an assembled joint. Henkel quotes a Brookfield viscosity of 100 to 150 mPa.s at 25 degrees Celsius, a maximum diametrical clearance of 0.1 mm, a fixture time of 25 minutes on steel and a service temperature range of minus 55 to plus 150 degrees Celsius. It fluoresces under UV light, which allows presence and coverage to be verified during inspection. The cured joint resists loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration.
