About the V73263-Cable Coaxial 75 ohm
V73263 is a lightweight 75 ohm coaxial cable from PIC Wire & Cable, built for high-definition digital video links in aerospace installations. The centre conductor is 26 AWG stranded silver-plated copper, insulated with a foamed FEP fluoropolymer dielectric. Shielding is a double construction — a helically wound silver-plated copper strip with a tin-plated copper braid over it — giving shielding effectiveness better than -110 dB, and the cable is jacketed in extruded white ETFE that accepts laser marking. The finished cable measures 0.13 inches (3.18 mm) in diameter and weighs 1.50 lb per 100 ft (2.20 kg per 100 m), with a rated temperature range of -55 to +150 degrees Celsius, a nominal capacitance of 16 pF per foot and a velocity of propagation of 80 per cent. It is characterised for SMPTE 292M (HD-SDI) and SMPTE 424M (3G-SDI) transmission and accepts ARINC, M39029 and MIL-C-81659 connector and contact styles.

Typical applications
Lightweight 75 ohm coaxial cable of this type is used for airborne and vehicle-mounted digital video distribution, camera and sensor feeds, cockpit and cabin display links and test installations where weight and bundle diameter matter. It is also used in MRO for replacing or extending existing video runs. Connector, contact and termination tooling should be specified alongside the cable.
