duratech 1/4-inch drive ratchet 90-tooth quick-release wrench
This is a 1/4 inch square-drive hand ratchet from DURATECH, built around a 90-tooth gear. A 90-tooth mechanism corresponds to a 4-degree swing arc, meaning the handle only needs four degrees of travel before the pawl re-engages — the practical reason fine-tooth ratchets are chosen for work inside enclosures, brackets and other confined spaces. The head carries a forward/reverse selector so the direction of drive can be changed without lifting the socket off the fastener, and a quick-release button that ejects the socket for single-handed changes. The body is chrome alloy steel with a full-polished chrome finish, which resists corrosion and wipes clean of oil and swarf. The manufacturer states the ratchet exceeds ANSI specification, with tested torque reaching 1.3 times the ANSI standard figure.

Typical applications
Fine-tooth 1/4 in ratchets are the standard driver for small fasteners in avionics racks, enclosure and panel work, UAV airframe and payload assembly, and general MRO benches. The narrow swing arc suits access-restricted work where a coarse ratchet cannot complete a stroke. They are normally issued as part of a technician’s socket set alongside extensions and adaptors.
