About the 364-6924 Cable Gland, M6 Nickel-Plated Brass
The A1 series is SES Sterling’s metallic cable gland range, built from brass with a nickel-plated finish and listed at IP68. This variant is at the small end of the range: it carries an M6 entry thread and clamps cable with an outside diameter between 2.5 mm and 3 mm, which is a narrow 0.5 mm window and the reason cable OD should be checked against the actual jacket before ordering. A nickel-plated brass body is chosen over a polymer gland where the entry has to conduct, resist mechanical damage, or survive temperatures and chemical exposure that a plastic gland would not. The M6 thread suits a small-format enclosure, junction box or instrument housing where panel real estate around the entry hole is limited.

Typical applications
The 364-6924 brass cable gland, at M6 and taking 2.5–3 mm cable, is used on sensor bodies, small instrument housings, terminal boxes and control enclosures where the cable is a thin multicore or a screened signal lead rather than a power feed. The metallic body allows the gland to be used as part of a bonded entry when the enclosure and cable screen have to share a continuous metal path. Because the clamping range is tight, it is normally specified alongside a known cable part number rather than selected generically.
