Description
Overview
This set contains three high-speed steel step drills, each with a stepped cone profile that lets one bit drill a range of hole sizes and de-burr the edge in the same pass. The bits shown have hex shanks for use in impact drivers and drill chucks, a gold-coloured surface finish, and step diameters etched on the flutes; the largest bit in the photograph is graduated from 4 mm up to 20 mm. Step drills cut cleanly in sheet metal, aluminium, plastics and laminates where twist drills tend to grab or leave a ragged hole.
