About the HellermannTyton Helsyn TH Expandable Cable Sleeve
The HellermannTyton Helsyn TH Expandable Cable Sleeve (part number 600-02495, type designation TH120X50BK-CR-BK) is a short expandable binding sleeve moulded from chloroprene rubber (CR). Supplied in black with a 50 mm (0.05 m) length and 1.0 mm wall thickness, the sleeve stretches over wiring bundles, and distributor listings rate it for cable diameters up to 23.0 mm. HellermannTyton manufactures the Helsyn TH series to BS 4G 198 Part 1 Type 1, a British aerospace specification for elastomeric sleeves, and quotes an operating temperature range of -65 °C to +95 °C with intermittent exposure to +120 °C. Chloroprene rubber gives the series good resistance to mineral and vegetable oils, fuel, moisture, ozone and UV exposure, and the material carries a UL 94 HB flammability rating with high elongation before break.
