About the DRC12-40PB Connector
The DRC12-40PB is a 40-position rectangular receptacle from the TE Connectivity DEUTSCH DRC series. DRC connectors are high-density, environmentally sealed rectangular connectors built for applications where moisture, dirt and rough terrain would contaminate or damage electrical connections. The housing is a high-performance thermoplastic with an integral flange for sealed bulkhead or panel mounting, and the series is shock and vibration resistant in line with the heavy-duty DEUTSCH product line. This variant is black, keyed B, and arranged in four rows on a 5.5 mm pitch; it accepts size 16 pin contacts, with a published current rating of 13 A per contact position. Contacts are ordered separately in the required plating and wire range. The receptacle mates with the corresponding 40-way DRC plug assemblies (DRC16-40SB / DRC18-40SB pattern).
