About the M22759/32-26-9 Aerospace Wire
This item is airframe hook-up wire to the /32 detail of SAE AS22759 (M22759, formerly MIL-W-22759), size 26 AWG, in white. The M22759/32 construction pairs a soft-annealed, tin-plated copper stranded conductor with a single-layer, irradiation-crosslinked, extruded ETFE insulation in a lightweight wall — rated 600 V with a conductor temperature rating of 150 °C. Crosslinked ETFE gives the wire high mechanical toughness for its weight and diameter together with strong resistance to chemicals, fluids and radiation, which is why the /32 lightweight family is a standard choice for weight- and space-critical airborne wiring. The -26 element of the part number designates the 26 AWG conductor size and the final -9 the white insulation colour, coded per the specification’s colour system.
