The M81824/1-1 is an in-line, environment-resistant permanent crimp splice qualified to SAE-AS81824/1, the slash sheet of the specification formerly designated MIL-S-81824/1. The parent specification covers environment-resistant permanent crimp-type splices fitted with a heat-shrinkable insulating sleeve and meltable environment seals, so that recovering the sleeve over a completed crimp produces an insulated, sealed joint in a single operation. Typical applications
