The 3M Tack Cloth technical component supplied under 3M reference 50401 is a tack cloth: an open-weave cloth treated so that its surface is slightly tacky, used to lift loose dust, lint and abrasive residue from a surface immediately before a coating is applied. Each cloth measures 320 mm x 400 mm and the item is supplied as a pack of ten cloths in an aqua colour, which makes used cloths easy to distinguish from clean stock and from the workpiece itself.
