About the 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape F9473PC Clear
Transfer tapes consist of pressure-sensitive adhesive carried on a release liner alone, so the finished joint contains adhesive only and no backing film. This 3M Transfer Tape industrial adhesive is the F9473PC reference supplied clear, 25 mm wide, on a 55 m roll. The 25 mm width is the wider of the two roll sizes BOLTON lists for this reference and is chosen when a broader bonding land is available, when a wider strip is needed to spread the load, or when full-face lamination of a narrow part is done in a single pass rather than two. Roll length is unchanged at 55 m, so the practical difference against the 12 mm roll is bonded area per roll rather than run length. Because a transfer tape leaves no carrier, alignment is worth planning: once the adhesive is down it cannot be repositioned as easily as a filmic tape.

Typical applications
