About the D38999/26WC35SN Circular Connector
This designation is read straight from the MIL-DTL-38999 Series III scheme. The /26 slash sheet is a straight plug; W denotes an aluminium shell with olive drab cadmium plating; C is the shell size, equivalent to shell size 13; 35 is the insert arrangement, giving the 13-35 layout; S denotes socket contacts; and N is the normal key position. Published Series III arrangement charts list 13-35 as 22 contacts, all size 22D, at service rating M. It is therefore the socket-contact counterpart of the pin version carrying the same shell, arrangement and keying. Series III connectors use a triple-start self-locking coupling thread with anti-decoupling, provide EMI and RFI shell grounding, are sealed to IP67 when mated and are rated from -65 degrees C to +175 degrees C.
