About the PMPN4290 IMPRES 6-Way Multi-Unit Charger
PMPN4290 is a Motorola multi-unit charger with six charging pockets, so a squad or shift’s worth of radios can be replenished from one mains position instead of six individual chargers. It supports both nickel-metal hydride and lithium-ion battery chemistries, and implements Motorola’s IMPRES battery management system: the charger reads and writes data held in the battery so that charging is adapted to the individual pack, and an integral display presents battery-management information for every pocket rather than a simple charging lamp. The unit runs from a 120-240 VAC supply and is supplied here in the UK line-cord configuration with external power supply 3087791G07. It is listed as compatible with the Motorola DP2000/e, DP4000/e and R7 two-way radio series. Each pocket accepts either a bare battery or a radio with the battery attached.
