UB100A-B, catalogued under article number 138-00000, is a HellermannTyton UB-series cable tie moulded in polyamide 6.6. The strap is 100 mm long and 2.45 mm wide, closes with an all-plastic tongue-and-pawl head, and is non-releasable — once tensioned it stays closed until it is cut off. Serration is on the inside of the strap, which puts the ratchet teeth against the head rather than on the outer face. Bundle capacity runs from 1.5 mm up to 22 mm diameter, and the tie is rated at 80 N minimum tensile strength. The specified operating temperature range is -40 °C to +85 °C. The tie is halogen-free, supplied in black with an untreated surface, and is not UV-stabilised to ASTM D6779. It can be fitted by hand or with a tensioning tool where a repeatable tension setting is wanted.

Typical applications
At 100 mm long and 80 N this is a small, light-duty tie for tidying and grouping thin cable runs — control wiring in panels and cabinets, sensor tails, instrument leads and short harness branches — where a heavier tie would be awkward in a confined space. The 1.5 mm lower bundle limit means it closes down onto single or paired conductors without excess tail. As it is not UV-stabilised, use it indoors or inside enclosures rather than in direct sunlight.
