The 3M PELTOR Optime 98 Over-the-Head Earmuffs, model H9A, are passive hearing protectors from 3M’s PELTOR Optime range, positioned for environments with noise levels up to 98 dBA. The earmuffs use a stainless steel headband that maintains consistent clamping force over time and resists bending and warping, while the earcup pivot points tilt so each cup can seat at an effective angle on the head. Sealing is provided by twin-design ear cushions filled with a liquid/foam combination, which 3M designs to conform to the head and attenuate both steady-state and impact noise while limiting contact pressure for longer comfortable wear.
