About the AMASS AS150 Male DC Power Connector
The AMASS AS150 Male connector is the pin half of the AS150 anti-spark DC power connector family, supplied here with a black body and designated 500 V, 60 A and 6 AWG conductor size. AS150 connectors are used for battery and ESC connections in UAV and larger radio-controlled power systems, and the series carries an anti-spark arrangement that pre-charges the load capacitance as the halves come together instead of allowing the inrush to arc across the main contacts. The practical benefit is on the male half in particular: contact faces stay cleaner for longer, and the repeated hot-plugging that a flight-line imposes does not degrade the mating surfaces as quickly. The black body identifies this half against the red female counterpart, which removes ambiguity when two identical-looking leads are presented during a pack change.
