About the Klauke 103R6 Uninsulated Tube Cable Lug Technical
The Klauke 103R6 Uninsulated Tube Cable Lug is a tubular compression lug from Klauke’s copper R-series, sized for 16 mm² conductors and drilled for an M6 stud or bolt. The lug is manufactured from copper to EN 13600 and tin plated for corrosion protection, and the annealed barrel material is optimised for crimping. Crimp markings on the barrel guide correct die placement, while the flat palm and internal chamfer at the barrel mouth ease conductor entry and give a reliable bolted contact face. Klauke’s R-series lugs of this pattern are used on stranded copper conductors, including fine-stranded classes when processed with the appropriate tooling and dies, in non-tension applications. The lug is uninsulated; insulate the finished termination with sleeving or heat-shrink where the installation requires it.
