The Harwin M80-8883401 Datamate connector is a 34-way female cable receptacle from the Datamate L-Tek series, arranged as two rows of 17 contacts on a 2.00 mm pitch. It is a crimp-terminated part: the kit is supplied with loose crimp contacts that are applied to the wire and then inserted into the housing, which suits made-to-length harnesses and assemblies that need to be repairable. Contacts use a beryllium copper clip with a gold contact finish for low and stable contact resistance, with terminations finished 100 percent tin over nickel; the shell is brass and the housing is PBT rated UL94V-0. Harwin rates the contacts at 3.3 A maximum on an individual contact and 3 A maximum with all contacts loaded simultaneously at 25 degrees C, across an operating range of -55 to +125 degrees C. The connector accepts 24 to 28 AWG wire up to 1.1 mm insulation diameter and carries the series latching feature.
