TE Connectivity RNF-100-1/2 heat shrink tubing is the 1/2 in expanded size of Raychem RNF-100, a premium-grade flame-retarded polyolefin heat-shrinkable tubing, supplied here in white. The tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio, so nominal recovered internal diameter is approximately half the supplied 1/2 in (12.7 mm) size, allowing it to conform closely to irregular shapes such as terminations and splices. The material meets the requirements of AMS-DTL-23053/5, Class 1 for coloured tubing, and the range is UL Recognized and CSA Certified at 600 V and +125 °C. It offers good abrasion and solvent resistance together with the electrical properties expected of a general-purpose insulating sleeve. White is one of the standard colours in the range and is commonly chosen where legible printed identification or wire marking is required after recovery. Material is supplied in 1.22 m cut lengths.

Typical applications
At the 1/2 in size this tubing suits insulating and strain-relieving larger wire terminations, lugs and in-line splices, and jacketing small wire bundles and light-duty harnesses. The white colour is normally specified where the sleeve carries printed wire numbers or circuit identification, or where colour coding is used to separate harness branches. The 1.22 m supplied length is convenient for cutting harness sleeves to size on the bench.
