About the Deutsch DT04-2P-C015 DT Series Receptacl Connector
The Deutsch DT04-2P-C015 DT connector is the two-position receptacle housing of the DT range, supplied in grey and designated for 16 AWG conductors. The DEUTSCH DT series is an environmentally sealed thermoplastic connector family used in vehicle, industrial and defence wiring harnesses. DT04 identifies the receptacle half and P a housing that accepts pin contacts, so it mates with the two-way DT06-2S plug carrying socket contacts. This is the smallest DT footprint and the highest-volume size in the family, because a very large proportion of equipment wiring resolves to one supply and one return. A wedgelock is required to complete the assembly and is pressed into the mating face after both pins are loaded; if either contact is short of full engagement the wedgelock will not seat, giving the assembler an immediate check. Pin contacts and the two-way wedgelock are ordered separately from the housing.
