Description

Pixhawk 6X (Rev 8) Flight Controller — BOLTON SKU 60239.

About the Pixhawk 6X Rev 8 Flight Controller

The Pixhawk 6X is an open-standard autopilot module built around an STM32H753 main processor running at 480 MHz with 2 MB of flash, paired with an STM32F103 input/output co-processor at 72 MHz. On Rev 8 hardware the sensor set comprises three ICM-45686 accelerometer and gyroscope units, ICP20100 and BMP388 barometers, and a BMM150 magnetometer; the triple-IMU arrangement supports redundancy and voting rather than leaving a single point of failure in the attitude solution. Interfaces include sixteen PWM servo outputs with switchable 3.3 V and 5 V logic, R/C input, four serial ports of which three carry flow control, two GPS ports, Ethernet, SPI, two CAN buses and I2C. The module measures 38.8 x 31.8 x 14.6 mm, weighs 23 g and is rated for operation from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. This listing covers the flight controller module only; baseboards and carrier hardware are separate items.

Typical applications

The Pixhawk 6X module is the flight-control core of multirotor, fixed-wing, VTOL and ground-vehicle platforms running open autopilot firmware, and is also used on integration benches and hardware-in-the-loop rigs where the same sensor and interface set is needed off the airframe. The redundant IMU set and dual CAN buses suit platforms carrying redundant sensing, smart batteries and CAN-connected servos or speed controllers. Ethernet and the four serial ports support onboard companion computers, payload links and telemetry radios.
