About the 400B113N010038 Hex Bushing, 1in x 3/8in SS
The 400B113N010038 hex bushing adaptor is a threaded reducing bushing that steps a 1 in male NPT connection down to a 3/8 in female NPT connection in a single fitting. It is made in 304 stainless steel and rated Class 150, the pressure class used for cast threaded pipe fittings of this type. Both ends use NPT threads — the American National Standard taper pipe thread — so the joint seals on the thread flanks with a suitable sealant or tape rather than on a gasket. The hexagonal body gives flats for a spanner or socket, which allows the bushing to be made up tight inside a female port without a separate driver. Reducing in one fitting keeps the assembled length shorter than a coupling-plus-nipple combination.

Typical applications
