The C0805C105K4RAC ceramic capacitor is a KEMET C series multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) rated 1 µF at 16 V DC with a ±10 per cent tolerance, supplied in the 0805 surface-mount case size (2012 metric). The dielectric is X7R, a Class II ceramic whose capacitance stays within ±15 per cent of nominal across the full −55 °C to +125 °C operating range. As with all Class II dielectrics, the capacitance also varies with applied DC bias and ages with time, so the working value in circuit can differ from the marked value; the datasheet curves should be consulted where the exact value matters. Nominal chip dimensions are approximately 2.0 mm long by 1.2 mm wide, with a height of around 0.9 mm.

Typical applications
A 1 µF X7R part in 0805 is a workhorse bulk-decoupling and bypass value: placed close to IC supply pins, across regulator inputs and outputs, and in filtering and transient-suppression positions on low-voltage rails. The 16 V rating suits 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V rails with reasonable derating margin. Where capacitance stability against temperature and DC bias is critical, a C0G/NP0 or a higher-voltage part is normally specified instead.
