Description

Ranger Micro Combo 2.4 GHz ELRS Unit — BOLTON SKU 57908.

About the Ranger Micro Combo 2.4 GHz ELRS

The RadioMaster Ranger Micro is a 2.4 GHz transmitter module that runs the open-source ExpressLRS control link and fits JR-style micro module bays, including those on the TX16S MKII and TX12 MKII handsets. It operates across the 2400–2480 MHz ISM band and is built around an ESP32 main processor with an SX1281 transceiver, with a second ESP8285 providing the ExpressLRS backpack and its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions for wireless configuration and firmware updates. Maximum packet rate is 500 Hz, rising to the F-1000 Hz mode on EdgeTX 2.7.1 and later, and the module is powered from 6–16.8 V through an XT30 connector with an integrated cooling arrangement. It weighs 50 g with the supplied T antenna, or 40.5 g without. The manufacturer’s ranger micro combo 2 4 GHz package pairs the module and T antenna with ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz nano receivers; confirm the exact pack contents with your enquiry.

Typical applications

A micro-bay ExpressLRS module is fitted to a handset to give a low-latency 2.4 GHz control link for small unmanned aircraft, FPV platforms, ground rovers and test rigs, and to standardise a fleet of airframes on one receiver protocol. The micro form factor suits operators whose handsets have the smaller module bay and who want to keep the transmitter compact for field and training use. Because packet rate and RF settings are set in firmware, the same module can be tuned for range-biased or latency-biased operation as the sortie requires. Local radio-spectrum rules apply to the operating band and output configuration.
