Description
Overview
The QS8-V2 is an anti-spark high-current battery connector. It uses gold-plated 8 mm bullet contacts, with an anti-spark arrangement intended to limit the arc that otherwise occurs when a large battery pack is connected to a charged bus. The manufacturer rates it at 600 A burst and states it will work with 10 AWG wire. Wire covers are supplied with each set.

Applications
Connectors of this size are used on the main battery leads of high-current electric drive systems – between packs, power distribution and speed controllers on large electric models, battery carts and small electrically powered platforms – where connection and disconnection under standing voltage would otherwise arc.
