Description
Overview
The TFRPM01 is ThunderFly’s rotational-speed measurement device for unmanned aircraft. It connects to the flight controller over I2C and counts the pulse signal from an optical encoder, hall sensor or similar probe. Counting is handled on the sensor board rather than in the autopilot, and an input-status LED shows the logic state of the pulse input while the mechanical installation is being set up.
Technical data

Applications
Rotational-speed logging on unmanned aircraft and ground test rigs: propeller, rotor, engine and generator shaft speed recorded alongside other flight-controller telemetry, and vibration or performance investigations where measured RPM has to be correlated with other logged channels.
