The FIT0551 7-inch TFT display is DFRobot’s IPS colour panel at 1024 x 600 resolution, fitted with a projected capacitive touch layer and connected over eDP (Embedded DisplayPort). It was designed as the companion screen for LattePanda single-board computers, which is why it uses eDP rather than HDMI: the interface is the one the host board already exposes, and it lets the operating system control panel power, brightness and contrast in software instead of through a separate driver board. The IPS construction gives a stated viewing angle of 178°, and the panel is specified with 85% transmittance, a surface hardness of 6H, a response time of 16 ms or better and a touch durability figure of 200 million taps. The combination of a modest 7 in footprint and a full 1024 x 600 pixel count makes it usable for dense instrument-style layouts rather than only large buttons.

Typical applications
This panel is normally built into a portable or panel-mounted HMI driven by a LattePanda-class single-board computer, giving a compact touchscreen console for test equipment, kiosks and machine control. The 6H surface and high tap-count rating point at installations where the screen is the primary input device and is handled constantly. Because brightness and contrast are set through the operating system over eDP, the display suits enclosures where no space exists for a separate control board.
