About the Brass Metal Wool for WDC
This metal wool brass for wdc consumable is the replacement brass wool insert used in Weller WDC-series dry soldering-tip cleaners, supplied as a pack of two pieces. The wool sits in the cleaner body and removes oxide and spent solder from the iron tip mechanically as the tip is pushed into it. Unlike a wetted sponge, a dry brass wool insert does not introduce water at the tip, so the tip temperature is not pulled down during cleaning and there is no drip or standing moisture at the bench. Typical applications
